Impulse Archery Indoor 3D Winter League Rules & Registration
Targets in 3D events are life-size replicas of wildlife. These events combine the skills of determining distance to the target, determining what part of the target to hit and the actual shot.
Six Archery Classes will be formed for league (must have at least five archers in each class to form league).
Archer must register for league by Dec. 30th, 2017 at Impulse Archery.
IBO Rules will be Enforced
Senior Class: SC (ages 50 and Up) A compound bow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or style of release.
Male Hunter Class: MHC (ages 18 and up) A compound bow with fixed sight pins, front stabilizer under 12”, bow may be shot with finger tab shooting glove or release aid.
Female Hunter Class: FHC (ages 18 and up) A compound bow with fixed sight pins, front stabilizer under 12”, bow may be shot with finger tab shooting glove or release aid.
Male Open Class: MBO (ages 18 and up) A compound bow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or style of release.
Female Open Class: FBO (ages 18 and up) A compound bow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or style of release.
Youth Hunter Class: YHC (13 to 17 years old) A compound bow with fixed sight pins, front stabilizer under 12” no rear stabilizer, bow may be shot with finger tab shooting glove or release aid.
3-person Teams any combination of Men and Women. Only one open class shooter per team, No age restrictions
League Membership Fees
3 Person teams $60.00 League fees per season (50% of fees go to prize payouts) $11.99 Per week to shoot your round for score. (fees go to target and range maintenance, memberships do not apply to weekly league fees.
SC, MHC, FHC, MBO, FBO.: $20.00 League fees per season (50 % goes to prize payouts) $11.99 Per week to shoot your round for score. (fees go to target and range maintenance, memberships do not apply to weekly league fees)
Youth League: No league fees, $8.99 a week to shoot. (no prize money payouts).
Indoor 3D Winter league will run 10 Weeks Jan 2nd - March 11th 2018
Archer must shoot 8 of the 10 weeks too eligible for prizes!
All range rules must be complied with during league shooting.
No Rangefinders allowed!
Use of binoculars is allowed.
Archers will not keep their own score; archers must shoot in at least two-person groups.
Archers must have integrity and honesty, anyone found not possessing this quality will be removed from league!
Good Sportsmanship and fun is encouraged during all league shooting.
League will consist of 30 shots per round, per week for 10 weeks.
One arrow per target (once arrow leaves bow string it is to be scored).
Shooting for league score must be done on the first visit to range that week.
Targets will be identified buy numbers 1-30.
Targets must be shot in numerical order.
Shots must be taken from the corresponding number on the shooting line or elevated platform.
There is to be no discussion of target yardage until round is complete and you have left the range area.
Once an archer begins a shooting course, he or she must finish with his or her group.
League shooting will be based on a "free-hand" style of shooting (nothing supporting body, bow arm or bow).
Sight and equipment may not be adjusted once the archer enters the shooting course.
Sights that project a laser light or another aiming dot on the target will not be permitted.
In the event of an arrow passing completely through the target the archer may re-shoot the target.
All shooters in the group must agree on the arrows score and not pull arrows till all scores have been recorded.
Archers who pull arrows pulled before their score is recorded will be given a 0 on that target.
Shoot league rounds anytime during normal operating hours each week Monday - Sunday.
Score cards will be provided by Impulse Archery, please figure your own score on cards before turning in.
Score cards must legible and turned in to Impulse Archery by close Sunday each week. No late score cards will be accepted!
3D targets will be scored as follows: 11 - 10 - 8 - 5 - 0
11--An “11” or X ring consisting of a circle centered within the 10 ring.
10-- A 10 ring consisting of a circle inside the vital area.
8--A vital area (8 ring) that roughly approximates the heart, lung, and liver area of the appropriate animal.
5--The remainder of the animal shall be considered a “body” except as set out in Paragraph 5 below.
0--Miss an arrow embedded in the horn of an animal, not touching body color, is considered a miss and is scored as a zero. Targets with legs or hooves of a different color than the main body will still be considered as body color for scoring.
An arrow touching the line of a greater scoring area shall be given the higher score.
Some targets have material surrounding the actual outline of a target animal. This additional material will NOT be counted for score.
A total possible score or 330 per round.

Previous weeks scores will be posted at Impulse Archery.
Targets will be moved every Sunday after closing, the new round (week) will begin Monday with targets in a different location.
If there is a tie the shooter with the most "11s" (Xs) will be declared the winner.
Impulse Archery will add up the archers 8 best scores from each week’s league, (if archer shoots all ten weeks’ archers two lowest scores will be removed)
On March 17th, 2018 at 10am, The top four Archers from each class with the most points at the end of the 10-week league will have a shoot-off for places 1st,2nd,3rd
Prize Payouts will vary buy the number of archers in each league.
If we do not have at least 5 archers sign up for your league class your league fees will be refunded.
